On September 23, 2016, HGT Law commenced a shareholder derivative lawsuit against directors, officers and controlling stockholders of El Pollo Loco Holdings, Inc. (a “quick service restaurant plus”) for breaches of fiduciary duties in connection with certain, alleged illicit trading profits.

On March 17, 2017, the Hon. J. Travis Laster, Vice Chancellor denied Defendants’ motion to dismiss the derivative lawsuit. Ruling from the bench, Vice Chancellor Laster denied Defendants’ motion to dismiss the Brophy claim.

On August 12, 2016, HGT Law commenced an action against Tesla Motors, Inc., pursuant to 8 Del. C. § 220 to compel inspection of the Company’s books and records. HGT Law is investigating whether Tesla and its officers and directors have misled investors regarding the existence of various production constraints.
